Nicole Richie has no problem showing off her new curves and her growing baby bump — Nicole headed to the beach in Maui, where she is currently celebrating her birthday, and had fun in the water despite the always-present paparazzi. She looks gorgeous!

Nicole Richie showed off her curves – and growing belly – while relaxing on the beach in Hawaii with her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden (not pictured) this weekend. The expectant parents were on the island to celebrate Richie’s 26th birthday.

Nicole Richie has temporarily got rid of her pet cat – because the smell of the pampered puss makes her feel sick. The pet survived a 10-story fall from Nicole’s apartment last year, but baby comes first for The Simple Life star. Friends claim she has given her pet to dad Lionel Richie for safe keeping until she gives birth. A pal says, “She loves her cat but can’t stand to be around it right now.”

Joel Madden has revealed that Nicole Richie’s pregnancy is coming along nicely.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show yesterday, Joel confirmed that the baby had started kicking but they don’t know whether it is going to be a boy or a girl: “we are waiting so right now it’s an it. Which sounds wrong. We call it the baby. When we talk to it, it’s a you.”

The baby is due at the end of the year but the parents to be have already started getting things ready regarding the nursery: “We’ve started it. I already went to Target and got a stroller and a playpen.”

A prankster who is making a small fortune at the expense of pregnant Nicole Richie is fighting criticism as her fans strike back.

Hollywood publicist Robert Smith’s “The Nicole Richie Cookbook,” which features 60 blank pages bound by an image of “The Simple Life” star, has become all the rage on the Internet.

But Smith isn’t celebrating. He tells In Touch Weekly magazine, “I’ve been getting a lot of backlash and flak.

“I meant it as a joke, but I’ve gotten e-mails saying it’s insensitive to people with eating disorders.”
