Today is Nicole’s 28th birthday – HAPPY BIRTHDAY! =) We hope you have a wonderful day with your family and friends. Have fun!

According to reports, Nicole Richie has announced that she would like to marry her boyfriend, Joel Madden. It seems the death of her previous fiancé has influenced her to tie the knot, and to make the most of the most important things she has in life.

A source told the National Enquirer: “She realized life is fragile and short. She doesn’t want to have any regrets at all, and she does want to be Joel’s wife.”

The Enquirer also reports: 

“Nicole has never been in a rush to get married to Joel. She’s so happy with him and their little family that she didn’t feel the need to change the way things were between them,” their source said.

September 18, 2009: Nicole was seen on Friday afternoon stepping out with Joel and Harlow, plus some friends (one of whom was carrying Harlow back to the car). Looks like they went out to get their coffee fix. Nicole looked comfy and casual in black baggy trousers and a grey cardigan.

September 16, 2009: Just one week after giving birth to her new baby boy Sparrow, Nicole Richie was seen looking amazing as she stepped to the CVS drug store with her adorable daughter Harlow. A photographer said the following of Nicole:

“Nicole was in a really good mood, being so loving with her daughter. She looked absolutely amazing – anyone who didn’t know would never guess she had given birth just a week ago. She even looked well-rested!”

During the week, Lionel Richie has not been able to hold back on speaking about his new, and first grandson: Sparrow. Lionel is already busy to spoiling his ‘nearly-a-week-old’ grandson, and has also revealed what the baby looks like!

Lionel admits to have bought him “football helmet and cleats” and is so excited to splash out more for his grandson. Revealing that Sparrow “looks just like Harlow”, and that “all babies sort of look the same as their siblings, but this is identical.” He tells People Magazine.

However, as for Sparrow’s baby sister, Lionel jokes: “Harlow right now is enjoying the baby until she finds out it’s staying”.

It’s clear that Lionel is so proud of his daughter, Nicole, and we are we! Lionel reveals :”She is the happiest woman ever. She is just in total control. I’m the one that’s nervous!”   (Aww!)

We are just SO excited right now to see Sparrow. We are sure, that if the baby looks identical to Harlow, that it is going to be just as adorably cute!

 

Nicole Richie is quick to remind us about her upcoming birthday (21st September). With so many life changing experiences happening this month for Nicole, we’re sure that the Birthday of 2009 is one which she will never forget.

Nicole truly has had the best birthday present that any mother could ask for: a healthy, newborn child!

It has been the topic of discussion as to how exactly mother Nicole Richie and father Joel were inspired to name their child: ‘Sparrow James Midnight Madden’. A clue to how his peculiar name came around was given by father Joel Madden, after he tweeted: “A song for the little songbird”, followed by a link to “Sparrow” from Simon & Garfunkel”.

Although Joel doesn’t reveal that Sparrow was given his name due to this song, we think it could may have well contributed to the choice of name! It’s also kind of cute to think Sparrow was named after a song.

Well, it looks like Nicole has reverted to her usual Japanese Food-Loving ways! Nicole Richie tweeted this just yesterday:

We can’t wait to hear more about little Baby Sparrow!

Nicole is back on Twitter! It had been almost 2 weeks since her last tweet and yes, her hilariously random tweets were missed. She was of course busy preparing for the birth of her baby boy Sparrow James Midnight Madden.

Joel also tweeted about the birth of his son: “Guess who’s back….. Oh i’m sorry we were only having a little baby boy.” And it seems Sparrow is already the talk of the town on Twitter, two hours later Joel tweeted again saying: “1st day of his life & my son is already a trending topic on twitter. That’s right son, ur just like your old man. wait, I’ve never been a #TT.” Cute!
