Laying pipelines has always been a hazardous occupation because of the risk of breakage and spills and the difficulty faced by workers in occupying the trenches to construct sand bag barriers at intermittent intervals. The new polyurethane foam trench breakers have solved this nerve racking problem once and for all. Specialised rigs can be placed alongside the trenches spraying foam with the help of special throwers.

The foam fills up the trench, and engulfs the pipe completely in sections which can be constructed at regular intervals. This is useful in preventing breakages and erosion due to water seepage, particularly in places where water logging is an issue.

This way the foam breakers can hold the pipes rigidly in place as the trench goes down mountainous slopes or inclines. The foam saves the worker the hassle of descending into the trench to fill and place sand bags. The foam is structurally very sound and protects the pipelines from breakage and erosion.
