Nicole Richie is horrified by the uproar caused by her dizzy spell on the set of her reality show The Simple Life.

Richie said that she did not have to go to a hospital, for she was just feeling tired.

“It actually made me really upset because I did not need to go to the hospital at all… I was just tired, and I left after 10 minutes,” Femalefirst quoted her, as saying.

The 25-year-old added, that morning, she hadn’t eaten her breakfast and she had asked for a bowl of cereal, which was on its way.

“I hadn’t eaten breakfast yet and I asked for a bowl of cereal, but when you’re on a big set it has to go through 15 people to even get to me,” she told OK! Weekly magazine.

The reality show star also said that there was no on-set medic, and so she had to be taken to the hospital

“I walked outside and I just wasn’t feeling like myself. There wasn’t an on-set doctor, so instead they took me to a hospital,” she said.

“There was absolutely nothing wrong with me,” Richie insisted.

Hilary Duff has laughed off rumors two songs on her new album are about Nicole Richie, who is dating Duff’s ex boyfriend Joel Madden.

The teen star insists she has no bitterness towards Richie - and that the songs are actually about her mother and father.

Duff says, “I’ve read that Gypsy Woman and Stranger are about Nicole but they’re not - they are about my parents.

“I want Joel to be happy, and if she makes him happy…

“Obviously he’s going to find someone else, like I’m going to do.”

Reality TV star Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton will play the role of counselors at a fat camp on the fourth season of their reality show ‘The Simple Life‘.

However, the E! series refuses to call it a ‘fat camp’ and the reps for the show address it as a “wellness camp focussed on right diet, yoga, nutrition and exercise”.

According to sources, Richie and her best pal Paris Hilton will be seen boasting around in hot pants.

“They are doing five camps in five weeks. This is just one of them,” The New York Post quoted an insider, as saying.

Richie was recently in the news when it was revealed that she and ‘Good Charlotte’ frontman Joel Madden reportedly made a last minute change in their plan to get married on February 17, for they wanted to take the reality star’s father Lionel Richie’s blessings first.

Sources say that Joel was initially terrified about asking Lionel for his blessing, but was later on welcomed with open arms.

According to reports, the pair has now decided to marry to tie the knot in front of the family and close friends at Mexico’s Las Ventanas resort in Cabo San Lucas.

The Simple Life star and the Good Charlotte frontman almost tied the knot in Las Vegas’ on 17 February, but decided to get Nicole’s adoptive dad Lionel Richie’s blessing first.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: “They picked out matching silver and diamond rings at a jewellery boutique in Caesar’s Palace and then headed to the Little White Wedding Chapel where they hovered outside for ages.

“But Nicole wanted her dad’s blessing so they went straight to see him when they got back to Los Angeles.”

Joel was reportedly terrified about asking Lionel for his blessing.

The source added: “Joel was nervous but he was greeted with open arms and a big hug from Lionel, who thanked him for everything he has done for Nicole.”

The couple are now planning to marry in front of their close family and friends at Mexico’s Las Ventanas resort in Cabo San Lucas.

The source revealed: “It would be a small ceremony with under 100 people.”

The Simple Life star Nicole Richie has been diagnosed with blood disorder hypoglycemia.

The condition means the skinny socialite’s blood sugar levels are often too low to provide an adequate amount of energy for her body.

A spokesperson for Richie tells America’s People magazine, “In her ongoing effort to focus on her well-being, Nicole has recently been diagnosed with hypoglycaemia.

“She is taking steps to manage it.”

The diagnosis comes less than a month after Richie was hospitalised for dehydration after falling ill while filming the new season of her hit reality show, in which she and pal Paris Hilton have been counselling children at a health camp.

A source says, “Four or five times she’s felt really faint and almost passed out and then she has to go into her trailer for a good part of the day.”

Richie has spent the last year battling reports she has an eating disorder and recently confessed she called in a therapist and a nutritionist to help her figure out why she was so thin.

Nicole Richie and rocker boyfriend Joel Madden (Good Charlotte) are getting serious about their romance - they’ve exchanged rings.

The socialite-turned-reality TV star has taken to wearing her ring on her wedding finger, but friends insist the couple isn’t engaged.

A source says, “They are not engaged but they did exchange rings. It wouldn’t be surprising if they are engaged in six months.”

Richie was recently engaged to Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein, while Madden ended a long romance with pop star Hilary Duff last year.

Nicole Richie has been bouncing back and forth for most of her career.

The socialite has been in rehab for heroin addiction and was recently arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana and prescription drug Vicodin.

To make the situation worse, Richie has also lost a substantial amount of weight since she debuted on “The Simple Life” with her BFF Paris Hilton. Now, reports are suggesting that the stylish star has moved away from illegal drugs and on to Adderall, the drug given to ADD suffers.

Sources confirm that Richie uses the drug to stay awake and curb her appetite.

One friend told In Touch Weekly magazine, “She loves Adderall because she stays awake, and it makes her not want to eat… and she takes it even more when she’s filming.”

While Richie no longer looks as sickly thin as she did last summer, her weight at the time of her December arrest was 85 pounds.

An insider said, “She’s taking more and more lately.”

Richie’s rep denies that the star is using drugs.

Many of Hollywood’s ‘It’ girls have been linked to drugs lately. Lindsay Lohan has spent time in rehab, Britney Spears is currently undergoing treatment and Mischa Barton’s younger sister, Hania, has admitted to using drugs and was shipped off to a facility.

In the title track of Duff’s new album, “Dignity,” the preening pop star appears to take some pot shots at the pair, who were romantically linked after Joel’s split from Hilary.

According to an online report, the song includes lyrics such as:

“Where’s your dignity? I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills…Can’t buy respect but you can pick up that bill…Always with Mr. Right, but then you have a fight / Run into your friend’s ex, he’s happy to be your next / Tomorrow’s paper’s coming out so kiss him fast, watch the cameras flash.”

In another track on the album called “Gypsy Woman,” Duff reportedly fires off at Richie, saying:

“She lets you think that you found her first / That’s how she works her sick and twisted gypsy curse. / Talks with a grin ’cause she’s got no shame / Enjoy the fame, bringing down the family name.”

However, Nicole and Joel aren’t the only ones to feel the wrath of Duff. On the song “Dreamer,” she reportedly sounds off on her alleged stalker from 2006.

“Don’t you have better things to do with your life / Than hang around and stare at me and complicate mine?,” Hilary reportedly sings.

Rocker Courtney Love has sparked concern about Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s plans to work as camp counselors for children in a TV series, after claiming drugs were readily available at Hilton’s recent birthday party.

In a posting on her website, the former Hole singer has spoken out about the “white powder” she discovered in the toilet at Hilton’s 24 February party.

And now the head of Foundations For Jewish Camping is worried about the pair’s stint as camp counsellors in the upcoming fifth season of their reality show The Simple Life.

Jerry Silverman tells the New York Daily News, “Counselors are trained, recruited and tested. We take (it) very seriously.”

The latest season of the show has already made headlines after Richie was taken to hospital on Friday suffering from dehydration on set.

The Simple Life star Nicole Richie was treated for dehydration Friday while working on the E! reality series.

Richie apparently felt ill, was examined by an on-set doctor and then taken to a nearby hospital. She received intravenous fluids for 15 minutes and was released.

“Nicole is home resting and will return to work this evening,” her rep said in a statement. “We are proud of the weight that Nicole is gaining and her focus on her health.”

Last October, Richie announced she was undergoing diagnostic treatment to help determine why she was having trouble putting on weight. Her rep said that Richie was focusing on nutrition and that she was determined to “achieve this goal in a healthy way.”
