Online reports that Nicole and Joel are planning a summer wedding are “not true,” her rep told Usmagazine.com.

“They are not even engaged,” the rep added.

OK! magazine had reported online that “invites for the blessed event are set to go out next week” and “a celeb party planner is already getting everything together for the nuptials.”

Although rumors of an impending wedding between new parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have been floating around for months, OK! can exclusively tell you that the couple definitely plans to make it official very soon.

A source close to the pair, who celebrated the birth of their first child, Harlow, on Jan. 11, tells OK! that the wedding plans are already in the works. “I can’t give too much away,” explains the friend, “but I can say is that it will be this summer.”

The source did reveal that invites for the blessed event are set to go out next week and the source confirms that a celeb party planner is already getting everything together for the nuptials. He’s already tasting cakes in New York City at The Simple Life star’s favorite bakery, Alice’s Tea Cup. “She loves it there,” says the source.

Nicole was seen being picked up at her home yesterday for another traffic school session. I love her hair here, and the entire outfit!

Nicole attended the store opening of Balenciaga in Los Angeles a few days ago. Nicole is pictured on the left with actress Salma Hayek, who she was showing something on her Blackberry - perhaps pictures of cute little Harlow?

At the event, Nicole spoke about her upcoming maternity line saying: ‘Thank Nicolas (Ghesquière, Balenciaga’s designer). I wore so much Balenciaga during my pregnancy that he was one of my main inspirations. My line will be about making women look and feel good at a really emotional time. It’s about showing your best self, not your tired, worn-down self. Guys don’t go through that, they just don’t understand.’

Yesterday afternoon Nicole brought little Harlow to a kiddie party in Beverly Hills. The party was attended by other mothers and their babies, including Toby Maguire’s wife and Nicole’s pal Jennifer Meyer, who is a jewelry designer. Perhaps they’re sharing ideas for Nicole’s upcoming jewelry collection?

It’s good to see Nicole spending time with friends while Joel is away on tour. It must be hard for him to be away from his 2 girls.

Nicole went to Mo’s restaurant with a friend yesterday afternoon. Nicole looks super cute in this outfit!

Nicole stepped out for traffic school again on Wednesday afternoon. She wore gorgeous yellow Christian Louboutin heels, which I hope she wasn’t actually planning on driving in.

With Joel away on tour and baby Harlow at home, Nicole went out for a drive. Nicole was seen at a traffic school the other day, and was snapped by the paps as she left for her drive.

Nicole is adding jewelry designer to her resume! Nicole tells People magazine, “It’s all costume jewelry. I like to play with jewelry and mix and match.” Produced with the company Mouawad, Richie is working with “this really talented woman named Shelley Gibbs. She’s an artist and she sketches everything.”

And Richie makes sure to keep baby Harlow at the forefront of her priorities while working on the line. She explains to People that “everyone’s been really mellow and able to work around my schedule. If I need to go feed the baby, I do it.”
