Patients that suffer from paranoid schizophrenia can have several delusions and some of them are delusions of grandeur. This means that they strongly believe that they are someone famous or that they are good friends with famous people. They believe so strongly that they are famous or that they know someone famous, even when they are facing good proof and contrary evidence. What people must know is that if these delusions are challenged, the sufferer can and most likely will become aggressive and violent.

Most of the time, people don’t understand these conditions and will commonly say that the sufferer has a split personality. People get this idea because the sufferer is hearing voices in his head. These voices, that only the sufferer can hear, may be of people that can talk to the patient or they can even talk to each other or have a negative tone and will often make cruel comments at the sufferer.
